Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction. This is what I have for my temperature sensor warning triggers: I tried specifying the trigger if the temp sensor name contains "Temp Sensor 0", but it does not seem to be properly recognizing the trigger name. = STRING: "Switch 1 - Temp Sensor 2, GREEN " = STRING: "Switch 1 - Temp Sensor 1, GREEN " = STRING: "Switch 1 - Temp Sensor 0, GREEN " That works fine for the 3850 switches, but the 3650 switches return Temp Sensor 0, 1 and 2 instead of Inlet To properly identify the temp sensors, I added an item prototype to record the sensor name, and modified the triggers to alert using different lower macro values if the temp sensor name contains "Inlet". If I leave the temperature sensor discovery at defaults, it finds three sensors and wants to alert at 46 degrees, even though it is an asic that can go to 105 degrees for a warning. One of the three (Inlet) has a lower threshold than the others (46/56 vs 105/125). Essentially for each switch, there are three temp sensors that return values with SNMP. I have it pretty much how I want it, however I was getting false trigger alerts. I am currently monitoring my cisco 38 switches with the Zabbix 5.2 Cisco IOS SNMP template.
